TEACHING AND RELATED POSITIONS Shanna Galloway has produced a video, "The Process", in which she describes and demonstrates a unique, comprehensive approach to drawing the figure. This tradition, nearly lost in our time, has been researched, learned through contact with students partially schooled in Europe, and especially through a lifetime of drawing and of looking with a questioning eye at master drawings. The Process, after its introduction by Galloway, was so effective as a teaching tool at Otis College of Art and Design that it was adopted for all lifedrawing instruction in that institution's Foundation (freshman) year. 1987-1994 Otis College of Art and Design (Otis/Parsons), Lifedrawing Instructor 1978-2001 Glendale College, Assistant Professor, Lifedrawing 1978-1987 Pasadena City College, Lifedrawing Instructor 1977-1979 Los Angeles Southwest College, Lifedrawing Instructor 1976-1977 Otis Art Institute, Lifedrawing Instructor SPECIAL PROJECTS and COMMISSIONS 1997 Curated permanent installation of 19 works by Kent Twitchell at the Physical Therapy Department of Queen of Angels-Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center 1986 Commission, Los Angeles Choreographers & Dancers 1979, 1983 Commissions, Crown City Orthopedic 1977-82 Ongoing collaboration with Karen Goodman's Meridian Dance Foundation, Los Angeles 1975 Commission, Unicorn Computer Systems Corporation, Los Angeles |
