TEACHING AND RELATED POSITIONS

Shanna Galloway has produced a video, "The Process", in which she describes and demonstrates a unique, comprehensive approach to drawing the figure.  This tradition, nearly lost in our time, has been researched, learned through contact with students partially schooled in Europe, and especially through a lifetime of drawing and of looking with a questioning eye at master drawings.  The Process, after its introduction by Galloway, was so effective as a teaching tool at Otis College of Art and Design that it was adopted for all lifedrawing instruction in that institution's Foundation (freshman) year.
